Meal plan: Week starting 14 September

Monday: Beef mince, pear ketchup and pasta with green salad

Tuesday: Homemade burgers with beef mince patties, lettuce, beetroot (moderate sals) and homemade potato wedges

Wednesday: Chicken schnitzel, steamed vegies and brown rice

Thursday: Soup (red lentil soup from The Failsafe Cookbook), garlic pizza and salad

Friday: Chicken and couscous salad

Saturday: Steak, quinoa or rice salad based on this recipe and steamed green beans

Sunday: Failsafe sausages with mashed potato and coleslaw (red and green cabbage, celery, shallots, red delicious apple – moderate sals)
